From Asheville
Take
Highway 19/23 North towards Weaverville.
After Weaverville, you travel towards Mars Hill.
Once you pass the Mars Hill exit, Highways 19/23 become
Interstate 26 and continues on toward Johnson
City, TN.
You will travel on Interstate 26 about 25 miles.
The interstate brings you to a traffic light – go straight through the
traffic light and take Exit 24. At the bottom of the exit ramp is a traffic
light – you will turn left onto University Parkway.
Travel along University Parkway for approximately 2
miles (You will pass East Tennessee State University campus on your left,
and then watch for McDonald’s on the right)
You will turn left at a traffic light onto W. State of Franklin Road
Continue for approximately 2 miles (you will pass Johnson City Medical
Center Hospital on your right) and turn left onto Highway 11-E.
Travel along this highway for approximately 7 miles
(there is a traffic light at about 5 miles, go straight).
There is a billboard with “Wetlands
Water Park”
on the left (just after the grocery store on your right) and you will turn
left onto Persimmon Ridge Road.
Turn right onto Water Park Drive and the water park
is at the end of this road.

From Knoxville
Take
Interstate-40 East towards Asheville.
Merge onto Interstate 81 North towards Bristol, TN
and travel approximately 23 miles.
Take Exit 23, the Bulls Gap/Greeneville Exit and turn
right off the ramp onto Highway 11-E traveling toward Greeneville.
Travel along scenic Highway 11-E approximately 35 miles.
(You will travel through the city of Greeneville
and then rural communities of Limestone and Telford
before getting to Jonesborough.)
There is a billboard with “Wetlands Water
Park” on the
right and you will turn right onto Persimmon Ridge Road; then turn right
onto Water Park Drive.
The water park is at the end of this road.

From Tri-Cities Airport
After
exiting the Airport property, turn left onto Highway 75 toward Johnson
City/Gray.
Continue traveling straight on Hwy. 75. (Go straight
through the traffic light at the intersection of Hwy. 36; the highway
becomes 4-lane and the name changes to Bobby Hicks Highway).
Take Interstate 26 East/Hwy 23S toward Johnson City and travel approximately 4
miles.
Take Exit 17, the Boones Creek Road Exit (There is a
Cracker Barrel Restaurant at this exit) and turn right off the ramp onto Boones Creek Road.
Stay on Boones
Creek Road for approximately 5 miles until you
enter the town of Jonesborough.
At the traffic light (notice Arby’s on your
right), you will turn right onto Highway 11E and travel approximately 2
miles.
There is a billboard with “Wetlands Water
Park” on the
left (just after the grocery store on your right) and you will turn left
onto Persimmon Ridge Road.
Turn right onto Water Park Drive and the water park
is at the end of this road.
